Myanmar (Burma) - January 2015

Mingalabar! January was time to visit the country formerly known as Burma, now known as Myanmar. I spent several weeks there, and here's the first batch of photos, concentrating on the ancient city of Bagan.

ABOVE & BELOW: Certainly! I really enjoyed my trip to Viet Nam ('NARRRRM®), and will certainly go back. ABOVE, you'll find some pictures of caves in/around Phong Nha in Central 'NARM®, whilst BELOW, please find you please some pictures of Ha Noi, the Capital city of 'NARM®, which is situated up North.

ABOVE: Back to Bangkok in January 2014, mostly in order to get to Vietnam. More about that higher up the page, but for now here are some piccies of Bangkok.

ABOVE: Moscow - June 2013. Pretty much the final piece of the jigsaw completing my travels to Eastern Europe. Russia is still an vast, enclosed piece of planet Earth. See some pictures here.

BELOW: Bangkok - Dec 2012 / Jan 2013 - Part of the ThaiBodia experience. Once again, lots of pictures to sort through, and I can't quite be bothered trawling through all of them just yet... There are far too many.

November 2011 - Hong Kong & Macau. A special 'menu' page has been create, which can be found here. I still have yet to finish these pages, lazy meeeeee.

June 2011: Helsinki in Finland. Norway, Sweden & Denmark have all been visited over the past six years, so 2011 was finally the year to hop along to Helsinki. There are two pages: One of Helsinki Central, and one of Temppeliaukio Church, which is one of the most beautiful buildings I've seen!

May 2011: A return to Paris to visit -amongst other things- the Stanley Kubrick expo at La Cinémathèque Française. I'll add the other pics at a later date. In fact, an entire Paris section will be coming up, but there are so many damn pics to get through, it'll take a wee bit of time. Ages, in fact.

Bruges. The City that always sleeps. A pretty little town in Flanders (North Belgium) that only allows people over 50 years of age to enter... or so it seems. The streets are very clean, which I'm not used to seeing... And I mean really clean. Some very, very esque photos are here.

Wellll it appears this section is getting some content at long last. Smashing. A lot more will appear, especially this year, so keep 'em peeled. The latest update is Edinburgh. You'll need to click on the picture below, like.



BELOW: Given the weather in early 2010, the last thing you'll want to see is a bunch of pictures of frozen wastelands. Here's a picture of Amsterdam in late January 2010, exactly one year after Iceland.

Hmmm, part bike, part icicle... I guess that makes an Icycle! Did yer see what I did there? Great days...

I spent the first two weeks of June 2009 whizzing around Norway like some kind of crazed fool.
It all started back in February, in Iceland (the country, not the the frozen food store), after seeing a brief, flirting glimpse of the northern lights. I had a little think about what sort of natural phenomenomenomina I'd like to see next. "If 'Aurora Borealis' is heads..." I babbled "what is tails?" And then, in a drunken instant, I had the answer... The midnight sun! So, off I went to Norway, specifically to see the midnight sun, in June, in Tromsø, where at that time of year it is daylight all the ruddy time. Ye Gods!
