Pictures

Greetings. Consider this section a kind of online photo album. Of course, lots more pictures will also be added to the Travels section. There is logic to this site, honest, it's just I wrote the logic on a Post-it note, and now I've lost it. Perhaps they should call 'em Lost-it notes... where twisted thoughts, terrible dreams or cries for help can be written down and stuck absolutely anywhere in the world. You could be deep in the Amazon rain-forest (or the website for that matter), desperatly attempting to find some signs of human contact, when you suddenly stumble across a giant tree which has a curious yellow glow on its side. You approach... attached to the bark of the tree is a Lost-it note which simply reads: "I didn't die right". Oh dear. What to do now. Pictures, right...

July 2011- The Kröller-Müller Museum, Otterlo, The Netherlands.

Yes, as the rest of The Netherlands cuts its funding of the arts (especially in Amsterdam), it was time to visit perhaps the finest collection of modern art in The Netherlands. The Kröller-Müller Museum is housed in the middle of Hoge Veluwe National Park in Otterlo, which is sandwiched inbetween Arnhem & Apeldoorn. Indeed, the National Park is HUGE, so large in fact, you need to grab a free white bicycle to get around.. or get a bus chock-full of Chinese tourists straight to the museum. The choice... is yours. I don't think the funding cuts will ever affect Kröller-Müller, and thank goodness for that. It's great.

August 2010 - Tall Ships in Amsterdam and that.

Upon realizing my complete neglect of this part of the site, I've decided to throw in a few megre pics of Amsterdam's five-yearly 'Tall Ships' festival. These are hot off the press, and were taken 20th August 2010. To view the pictures, click on the grotty old bike, like.

November 2009 - Sinterklaas in Amsterdam!

Might I suggest you look at the pictures of the highly unique Sinterklaas Parade. This happens every year on the 15th November, and as I explained on the December 2009 update, the parade is riddled with controversy. But it's all rather Naïve fun... and besides... it's traditional... which justifies anything doesn't it?
