The Arbat area of Moscow is famous for a street where busking (or street performing if you prefer) is legal. People just turn up, do their thing and hope to get attention / applause / money or -ideally- all three. I'm unsure as to the tax ruling here :) Just off this main street (ul Arbat) is a small street that is home to a long wall of... Social comment, shall we say. A long wall where people scribble their random musings on life and that. It's also a hang-out for all the local hobos and piss-heads! My, how very special.
