Bay Side
After the trip in 2009 I knew I'd return to Iceland. It's a great place to be alright, although the weather is the most unpredictable I've ever known. I mean, I heard about horizontal snow and hail stones, but I never actually experienced it until a trip in 2011. Evidence of that kind of extreme weather can be found HERE. This page is devoted to sights in and around the capital city . BELOW are two pictures of sunrise over the bay. Further BELOW RIGHT is a picture of the Harpa Concert Hall from March 2011. EVEN FURTHER BELOW that is the Bar Hemmi Valdi & images of the Hallgrimskirkja church, which was under cover when I visited Reykjavik in 2009.

ABOVE: In the background of the old B&W picture is the original music pavillion called Hljómskálinn. It is the home of the Reykjavik brass band. Small isn't it? Concerts are still performed here at this pavillion on the edge of the park. You'll notice, of course, the cow's ass to the left of the B&W picture above. A bit random isn't it? A cow. Just crossing the bridge without a care in the world. BELOW RIGHT: The Statue of Viking Ingolfur Arnarson, who founded Reykjavik in 874. Then please find pictures of the lake Tjörnin, with the City hall being the building to the left. The interior café shows the window taped up! Oh deary me.
