La Ragazzina aka Monica (Dir: Mario Imperoli, 1974) La Ragazzina begins with glorious Gloria Guida running along a beach in slow-motion. Her happy yet embarrased smile gleaming in the Italian sunshine. Then she runs some more... running and running around randomly in sloooowwww-motion. Then she runs a bit more. Eventually, the actual film begins.
Guida is Monica, a schoolgirl virgin bombshell, who's "not ready for sex yet" (cough, splutter). Of course, every man who sees her wants to have her, especially an older chap called Moroni (a seedy looking Paolo Carlini), who attempts to have sex with anyone he can find, anyone that is, except his very beautiful wife (Colette Descombes), herself looking for a lover.

This was Guida's first film role, made shortly after winning the Miss Teen Italy 1974 competition. This was the first of many "sexploitation" pics that Guida starred in, kick-starting her movie career during a prolific output during the mid-to late seventies. Lucky for us. The film was a success, and most of the cast & director Mario Imperoli re-united the following year on 'Blue Jeans', which is one of the better Guida romps (though that's saying very much). You can tell Guida's young here, just look at her chubby chops! BELOW LEFT: Youngs ladies in 1970's Italy usually wore nappies. Yes, they were all the rage back then. Right sexy too, like.
The very groovy music throughout La Ragazzina is by Nico Fidenco, and the German version (bottom right picture) has very funny subtitles, which appear on screen even though nobody is speaking! Yes, even THOUGHTS are subtitled in this Euro-Sleaze special edition. Smashing. BELOW RIGHT: Guida makes a dash for it, the dirty little sinner!
