Room with a view. Murakami's Kawaii - Vacances Summer Vacation in the Kingdom of the Golden was a canvas situated in The King's Guards Room. Also in there was a rather colourful matching carpet (which still had that peculiar 'new carpet smell') and flower lamps. Outside the room was another canvas, mounted on a wall by the Loggia of the Queen's staircase. This ends the tour of the interior.
ABOVE: The exterior gardens and fountain. Outside the Palace and near to the Water Parterre is Murakami's rather large bronze & gold leaf statue entitled Oval Buddha. And that's it! My only friend, the end. Leaving the Palace and saying au revoir to the staue of King Louis XIV, who was apprently known as The Sun King.
